Production Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Manager to lead the Flowfold production team. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to drive operational efficiency, safety, and product quality. The Production Manager will be responsible for supervising day-to-day manufacturing activities, coaching production staff, and implementing systems that improve productivity and reduce costs.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules

  • Assess project and resource requirements to meet deadlines and output goals

  • Ensure workplace health and safety procedures are followed and monitored

  • Maintain quality control standards across all product lines

  • Supervise and support production staff (8–10 people), including training and performance evaluations

  • Manage equipment repairs and routine maintenance

  • Coordinate hiring, interviewing, and onboarding processes for new production staff

  • Maintain production inspection, inventory, and reporting records

  • Present production data and analysis at management meetings

  • Lead Morning Meetings to update production staff and in general facilitate team communication

Qualifications

  • This is a full-time, (salaried) position. Hours may vary depending on production demands, and flexibility is expected to ensure timely completion of operations

  • Prior production or manufacturing experience (required)

  • Sewing or textile experience (preferred but not required)

  • Familiarity with CNC machine operation and industrial sewing (helpful but not required)

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace

  • Ability to create and manage spreadsheets for production reporting and planning

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly
