The L.L.Bean x Flowfold Collection offers gear that is built to transition effortlessly between town & trail. The collection brings together L.L.Bean’s heritage of over 100 years in gear design and Flowfold’s cutting edge materials.
The collection is centered on craftsmanship, performance fabrics and minimalist designs. The products are made in the U.S. using some of the world’s strongest—and lightest—fabrics.
The pieces in the L.L.Bean x Flowfold collection are made of Xpac™ fabric. Designed to stand up to abrasion, stress and moisture, this lightweight material is incredibly durable and flexible.
The new L.L.Bean X Flowfold collection is available on L.L.Bean’s website and in stores. While these products are co-branded with Flowfold, they are L.L.Bean exclusives.
The material used to build the collaborative L.L.Bean-Flowfold product was tested in one of the world’s harshest laboratories – the flanks and summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. “We chose Kilimanjaro because it presented us with the opportunity to test in every type of environment that one could experience during the year,” said James Morin, a co-owner of Flowfold who was among the group of three women and six men that climbed the peak in East Africa.

With L.L. Bean’s campus just 30 miles from the Flowfold workshop, we always envisioned that our paths would cross. The brand has established itself for generations as a leader in quality outdoor gear, and we’ve looked up to them as a big brother in our backyard since we started. We’re excited to share the shelves with a brand that influenced and inspired our own approach to the outdoors.
Both L.L.Bean and Flowfold have a longstanding tradition of building gear that lasts. By using weather resistant materials and handcrafting each item locally, each piece in the L.L.Bean x Flowfold Collection will be sure to last for years of adventures.
